Most clinicians and recovering individuals will agree that one of the most challenging times for an addicted individual is the transition from the treatment atmosphere back into their family and work lives. For that reason, LIfeSkills Authorities begins the coaching relationship while the client is in treatment. We strongly recommend that we are included in weekly or bi-monthly telephone updates with the treatment center staff as well as included in the discharge meeting with both treatment staff and the client. LSA also chaperones the client from the treatment facility back to the addicted individual’s place of residence to together begin the Executive Care process outside of treatment. This establishes a much healthier transition from treatment (and aftercare if recommended) to clients’ work and home lives.
Upon return to these environments, LSA begins working with the addicted individual in an intensive manner called Executive Care - Crisis Coaching to ensure a smooth transition back to work and home life. This Crisis Coaching phase is usually comprised of 2-4 meetings per week (at least one in-person) along with daily phone calls. During this period, the addicted individual is also beginning to work with the other Recovery Team members. This high level of support from the LSA Recovery Coach and Recovery Team members will enable the client to continue to grow in their newfound recovery lifestyle while being held accountable, nurtured and supported at the same time.
After the LSA client has remained abstinent and has proven to integrate well into different areas of their life, Executive Care Coaching will begin and continue for the balance of the 52 weeks post-discharge. We employ a variety of proven techniques to help the LSA client not only maintain abstinence from their addiction, but also greatly improve their quality of life in the process. The LSA Executive Care Coaching model focuses on five main areas that will provide continued success and growth for our clientele: physical, spiritual, psychological, social, and career/financial. The LifeSkills Authorities plan may involve:
-
